Hi Dr. Soloway-
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I just can't thank you enough for my new eyes! Absolutely everything is better. Working out, driving, reading, falling asleep in front of the fire, waking up and being able to see my alarm clock. I still wake up giggling in the morning.
Whoa, look, there's swirls in the ceiling - how funny!
We're going skiing this weekend, and for the first time I won't have to fuss around with dried up contacts under my goggles. Yes!
By the end of the day, my eyes aren't all dried out and scratchy. They just feel normal and healthy all the time now. Yes!
Now when my friend Ada says something amazing, and I look at her with big wide eyes, my contacts don't swim around and threaten to fall out. Yes!
In tons of little ways, my life is better!
Thank you so much for sending the video of surgery. It was really neat to see it from the outside. My father was absolutely riveted. He kept shaking his head going, "you have got to be kidding me. THAT didn't hurt?"
Everyone at work has been really curious. Your informational videotape has been making the rounds, but most of them are saying they're too chicken to do it. They have a tough time believing that it's not painful. But who knows, for one or two of them, the freedom might just outweigh the trepidation.
I got a Christmas card from Julia Baumgarten, your patient that recommended you to me. She signed it from the 20/20 club. Cool! She is still so happy with her eyes.
Anyway, I hope you're having a wonderful year, and I hope it just gets better and better for you. Thanks again and again-
