Dr. Richard E.Roth is originally from Philadelphia where he attended medical school. After graduation he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army Medical Corps, where he completed his transition internship and served three years as a US Army Flight Surgeon.
Upon completing active duty in the military, Dr. Roth chose to specialize in ophthalmic surgery. He received his residency training at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. After graduating from residency, Dr. Roth accepted a fellowship position in the ophthalmic sub-specialty of Cornea and Refractive Surgery with Dr. Soloway as his preceptor. Dr. Roth spent additional time in fellowship training for Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery.
