Clinical trials for the correction of spherical hyperopia (farsightedness) with LASIK have been completed at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Vision Correction Center. Results after over two years have proven to be excellent. Sixty seven percent of patients see 20/20 uncorrected, 81% see as well uncorrected as they did with best correction before the surgery, an unprecidented 100% see 20/40 or better uncorrected, and none of Dr. Soloway's patients have had any loss of best corrected vision. These results have been accepted for presentation and publication by:
American College of Eye Surgeons, Vancouver, Canada, February, 1999
International Society of Refractive Surgery, Orlando, FL, October, 1999
American Academy of Ophthalmology, Orlando, FL, October, 1999
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Boston, MA, May, 2000
