Measuring for accuracy

At Vista Alliance Eye Care Associates, we know the importance of an excellent result to the patient. That's why we take the time before the laser vision correction procedure to measure your eyes numerous times for accuracy.  At your pre-procedure visits, here is what you can expect:

  • We will check your current eyeglass and contact lenses in order to help determine your refractive stability
  • Examination of your eyes to determine your eligibility for the laser vision correction procedure
  • Measurement of your refraction (prescription) by computer, as well as by hand without drops, and with drops.  This will be rechecked at another visit or by another doctor
  • View a video to better understand the actual procedure
  • Speak to staff members and patients who have had laser vision correction
  • Mapping of the front surface (cornea) with computerized topography
