Can a Laser Allow You To See Without Glasses Or Contact Lenses?
Over the past years Vista Alliance Eye Care Associates has closely followed the latest developments in laser vision correction (LVC) for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. We began lamellar refractive and corneal surgery in 1986 on a limited basis. In 1990, after completing extensive laser technology and patient selection training along with pre and postop management, we determined that LVC was a safe and effective method of eliminating or reducing dependency on glasses or contacts and we first incorporated the precision of the excimer laser into our practice.
In 1994 the doctors of Vista Alliance began traveling to Toronto, where many of our patients were able to be treated with laser vision correction. In 1995, the FDA approved the use of the excimer laser for LVC in the US. Since then we've cared for hundreds of successful LVC cases with Barrie D. Soloway MD, FACS.
Dr. Barrie Soloway is a world class board certified surgeon. In private practice since 1986 in New York, he has helped thousands of people see better without glasses. As a director at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Vision Correction Center, he has trained doctors from all over the world on his LASIK technique.
