"Eyewitness News This Morning Weekend" WABC TV, channel 7 New York, NY
Dr. Barrie Soloway of Vista Alliance Eye Care Associates, brought his once farsighted patient, Regina Bustria, live onset with him to tell viewers about the amazing, new laser surgery which corrects farsighted vision on the September 27 WABC program "Eyewitness News This Morning (Weekend)".
Until now, this LASIK laser surgery has only been available for people who have nearsightedness. Dr. Soloway is the first physician in New York State to offer this new, cutting edge surgery to patients in clinical trials.
Dr. Soloway tells anchor Lisa Spencer, "This is brand new technology in the U.S. It's been performed outside the country for quite some time. And, the results are excellent. It looks as though the FDA will approve the surgery in a matter of months."
Regina Bustria, who had the laser surgery to correct farsightedness one month earlier, told Lisa Spencer, " I can now read without my eyeglasses or contact lenses. It's truly perfect vision. I noticed it right after I had the surgery."
When asked about cost, Dr. Soloway told Lisa, "The surgery costs $5,500 for both eyes, which also includes all the pre-operative testing, which can be very extensive. The cost also includes 1 year's worth of follow-up visits."
If you wear glasses, or contact lenses and would like to be less dependent upon them, or if you would like to see a copy of this and other television segments in which Dr. Soloway has appeared, please call tollfree 1 (888) NYLASIK.
